What sorts of issues can I address in a
private session? Is anything off-limits?
Pat tells clients, "The only patterns you can't change are the ones
you don't acknowledge." Based on that, everything, and
anything, is fair game. It all depends on:
-
What you want more of in your life
-
What you want less of, i.e., what 'problems' you would
like to be a non-issue
What if they werenon-issues? Take a moment and imagine how that
would feel. What relief, and changes, might you see, hear
or sense around you?
Imagine how your life would be different with these positive changes.
What desirable shifts would you sense, see, or hear around you?
If you want more abundance and success...better health...or better
relationships, you can address those issues. If you desire more
inner peace and confidence, or a satisfying love relationship, you can
address those. If you want to feel empowered and masteror
mistressof your own life, that's entirely appropriate.
Would you like to know that you are on-track.....and using more of
your potential? Would you like to be and feel more aligned with
your life's purpose?
Because of the unique dynamic of the Essence Repatterning
process, whatever issues you address overtly will inevitably result in
positive changes in many areas of your life. (Pat promises very
soon to post an article about a few of the more unusual issues people
have addressed with good success.)
What form
does the session take?
-
Establishing
your natural success programming: The session begins with you
identifying two to four areas in which you already feel successfulvery
small or large, recent or long agoit
doesn't matter. To the unconscious, success is success.
The point is that we all have
success tracksthose
positive patterns that we've learned to rely on in various areas of
our lives. Again, we're all programmed for successand
happinessat
the cellular level. This is your birthright. Essence
Repatterning is about teaching you to expand these existing
success tracks into other areas of your life.
-
Setting your agenda: Next,
Pat will ask you to identify the issues you'd like to address during
the session; that is, what you'd like, by the end of the
session, to know and feel that you've made some progress in, even
subtly. (You'll revisit these issues at the end of the session so you
can see where this focus has taken you.)
Then Pat
will ask you to identify how you'd like to experience the session
itself. If you feel stuck in answering this, she might ask,
"Would you like to feel relaxed...or tense?" (Most people choose
the former, but the point is that you are at choice in how you
experience it.) "Would you like to feel inspired...productive
...safe...peaceful...stimulated...or excited, for example?"
-
Identifying
patterns: Then, she will ask you what specific patterns you
already suspect may be holding you back. As you explore this,
Pat will offer you insights that reflect how these patterns may
have originated and played out in ways you might not have noticed.
She will work with you to elicit, in a gentle, detached way, the truth
of this for you. She will also prompt you to identify what
opposite, positive patterns you'd like to be activating.
During this exploration, Pat will offer
you insights that, to her, may seem 'out of the blue', but that
usually end up being 'right on' for youoften providing a link that
makes perfect, poignant, sense.
-
De-Activating
the old/Re-activating success: When sufficient issues have
been identified for repatterning, you will stop and be guided in how
to de-activate, or repattern this layer of patternsand also how to
activate their opposite, positive, flip sides.
-
Next
layers: When that is complete, you will know something has
shifted and be ready to address the next layer of issues that you're
now ready to de-activate.
-
New
ground! By the time the session is complete, you'll know the
specific new ground you've claimed insidethe new levels of freedom
and focus that you have achieved. You will also know how to
continue integrating this.
-
Revisiting
your objectives: At this point you'll revisit your objectives
for the session and see how they influenced the particular issues that
you've addressed.
-
New
world view: As the session closes, Pat will suggest
that you take a little time for yourself as things continue to
percolate. Your whole world view has changed, both by the new
information you've opened toand also the internal shifts that
you've instituted through the Essence Repatterning process.
Eventually you will see how this new view affects virtually every
area of your life.
-
Continuing
the process/Claiming your changes:
By the time the
session ends, you will have specific tools to use to continue
deepening the process and claiming your changes. This latter
point is important because often the changes become so organic, that
you forget how it was. By actively noticing and
acknowledging your changes, you
accelerate your progress.

FAQ (Frequently
Asked Questions):
Ordinarily, individuals only make
significant shifts in their attitudes, beliefs, and experience when
they are under extreme stress and after much work and worry. In those
instances, when the changes do occur, they often seem to unexpectedly
'pop' through, out of the bluemuch
to their relief.
To better understand the
difference in approaches, think of a time when you experienced that
much-desired changefinallyand perhaps wondered, "How did that
happen?
You may have even thought, "If I
only knew what I did so I could do it again."
With the Essence Repatterning
approach, you have identified specifically what you
want to changeand you
know how you changed it, step by step. Furthermore, as
you use the
process, you are learning to master your own creative process, and how
to access more of your natural brilliance. You also are learning how to
free up more of your natural resources---and how to use them more
efficiently.
Since the process is guided by your
high self, which will only bring up things you are ready,
and
sufficiently comfortable, to
address, it is not overly emotional. It is actually a
pretty detached approach, for Pat will guide you in looking at things very
objectively: patterns are patterns. She says, "We are only
identifying these patterns because we know that they can, and will, be changedon
the spot, layer by layer.
First of all, it is
different from
psychotherapy. That healing art is about creating relationship
with the therapist and working out issues within that relationship.
Essence Repatterning is actually a re-education process.
In this process, you are identifying patterns, and parts of yourself,
that are ripe for repatterning.. As you do this, you
actually are bringing yourself up-to-datewith
who you really are today, rather than hanging out in patterns from
childhood.
Pat has
trained psychotherapists and medical doctors in how to apply this
process in their practicesand
with themselves. She has also worked with many in those
professions as clients.
At the end of a
session, it is not unusual to hear, "We did more in these two hours
than I did in 20 years of therapy."
As one
therapist explains it, "Psychotherapy is about relationship and the
evolutionary change that comes from that. Essence Repatterning is
about more immediate change, layer by layer."
Essence
Repatterning
is specifically recommended for healthy individuals who want their
lives to work better. It is not recommended for those with
psychiatric disorders, although there are medical doctors who are
using it in controlled settings within their psychiatry practices.
There also are psychotherapists who are using it to create
significant, rapid progress with their clients.
Yes.
Essentially,
Essence Repatterning
is for those who know that…if they always do what they've
always done, they'll always get what they've always gotten. In
other words, Essence
Repatterning
is for those who know that if they want things to be different,
then they have to do things differently. This approach
offers a step-by-step process for doing that.
Those who have
worked closely with both approaches often say that they find the
Essence Repatterning process
offers a shortcut that is faster and easier to implement. They
also report that it allows them to address issues in a broader, deeper
way.
You may have heard the saying that
"We are spiritual beings having a human experience." As such, we
are always learning, growing and expanding. In Pat's evolving focus,
she now values the importance of ensuring that
this expansion and growth always includes, first and foremastthe
expansion of our happiness, pleasure and joy. Then the learning is
rich and easy.
Do we ever get it done? No. We
are here to experience more.....more what? Pleasure.....pain,
adventure.....boredom: it's up to us.
So there may be times when we feel stuck.....in a rut.....or simply
baffled by the results we are getting, or not getting.
Then it can be useful to draw on those resources that can help us, not
only get to the bottom of the problembut
to actually resolve it in an empowering, measureable way we can track.
